Floyd Jernigan begins his sixth season as an assistant on Joe McCauley’s staff. In addition to assisting with on-field duties and recruiting, this year Jernigan will be working with the goalkeepers. He has a United Soccer Coaches National Goalkeeping Level 3 diploma.
Jernigan coached boys’ and girls’ club teams in Oklahoma, Missouri, Tennessee, and Minnesota. His teams were consistently in the top three finishers in their leagues and produced a number of college athletes. He also served as player coach for a number of men’s teams in the Nashville, Tenn., area. He finished his active playing career in Minnesota on a team with players from Russia, Spain, Mexico, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Peru and Venezuela.
He serves as the Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Rolla. He is also a certified Insanity Live instructor.
He received his bachelor’s in communication from Morehead State University.
