Biography
2008-09: Was among the team’s top performers in the middle distance events…posted top times of 1:00.72 in the outdoor 400-meters, 1:01.41 in the indoor 400, 2:24.07 in the outdoor 800-meters and 2:26.03 in the indoor 800…competed in four of the team’s six cross country meets on the season…had a top five-kilometer time of 21:38 at Missouri Southern.
2007-08: Earned all-conference honors in the GLVC for the outdoor season...earned the honor by placing fourth in the 400-meter dash with a seasonal-best time of 59.48 seconds...was part of the Lady Miners' runner-up team in the indoor 400-meter relay...had top outdoor times of 26.69 in the outdoor 200-meters, 2:27.14 in the outdoor 800-meters; best indoor times were 8.21 in the 60-meters, 26.80 in the 200-meters and 59.81 in the 400.
2006-07: Took sixth place in the 400-meters at the GLVC Outdoor Championships, posting a time of 58.24 in the finals…had the team’s best time of the season in that event…ran a seasonal-best 26.56 in the 200-meters during the outdoor portion of the campaign…ran an 8.18 in the indoor 60-meters, 26.82 in the 200-meters and 1:00.27 at the conference meet in the 400-meters to place eighth overall.
HIGH SCHOOL: Finished fourth in the 100-meters and fifth in the 200-meters at the Kansas 5A state championships as a senior...posted a time of 12.45 in the finals of the 100 and 26.09 in the 200...had a mark of 58.3 in the 400-meters and also competed on two relay teams...also earned all-state honors in her junior year at Blue Valley West High School...was a three-time member of the all-Johnson County team.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Jerry and Deborah Bruce...attended Blue Valley West High School…majoring in business and management systems.
