Biography
2012-13: Cooper started every game but one last season averaging 7.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per contest while dishing out 40 assists and blocking 28 shots...she scored a career-high 16 points on 7 of 10 shooting and had seven rebounds in the win at Drury on Dec. 6...she earned GLVC Player of the Week honors for her performance at Drury...scored in double figures eight times last season...recorded her first double-double of the season against Drury on Feb. 28...was a perfect 6 for 6 from the field and hit the game winning shot against Wisconsin-Parkside on Jan. 3...followed that performance up with a 15-point effort in the win against Lewis on Jan. 5...dished out a career-high five assists against Charleston on Nov. 23 and blocked a career best four shots against Lewis.
Johnson County Community College: Cooper averaged 6.1 points and 8.1 rebounds for Johnson County Community College. She shot 45.2 percent (80-for-177) from the field and blocked 23 shots. The Cavaliers went 32-3 last season and advanced to National Junior College Athletics Association Division II Championships. As a freshman she appeared in 37 games and averaged 3.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
Andover HS: Played for Max Hamblin and averaged 14 points, 9.5 rebounds, two assists and two blocks per game. She still holds the Andover rebound record and was a three-sport athlete. She was named a a first team all-league selection and was an all-state honorable mention pick. She was also nominated for the Wendy's High School Heisman Award.
Personal: Daugher of Michael and Kellie Cooper ... majoring in Biology with an emphasis in Physical Therapy.
