Biography

2012: Keal appeared in 36 games, with 30 starts in the circle...she went 8-22 with an ERA of 3.12 and had 20 complete games...she led the staff in innings pitched (184) and strikeouts (86)...she allowed three runs or fewer in 19 of her 30 starts...she had a season-high seven strikeouts at Illinois Springfield on March 17...she pitched a season-high 10.2 innings at Missouri Southern on April 11...she had a K/BB ratio of 1.7.

2011: Keal pitched in 29 games with 24 starts going 11-14 with a 3.66 ERA...she struck out 89 hitters while walking 78...she tossed 19 complete games with five shutouts...she ended the season with a one hit shutout at Maryville on April 30...tied a school record by pitching 13 of the 17 innings in S&T's 4-3 win over Quincy on April 9...in that contest she came on in relief in the top of the fifth...in that relief role she allowed eight hits, two runs, struck out seven and walked seven as she beat three time all-american Torie Bunzell twice that day...she started the first game that afternoon tossing a complete game shutout allowing just two hits while striking out three and walking one...she also pitched a complete game shutout at Lewis on April 2 allowing only three hits while striking out four in the 3-0 win over the Flyers.

2010: Keal pitched in 30 games with 22 starts and had 17 complete games...led the team with a 15-10 record and had an earned run average of 2.42...also had two saves on the season...opponents hit just .236 off of her in 150.1 innings pitched...struck out 90 while walking 63...allowed 71 runs, 52 earned and had three shutouts...picked up her first career save in the Lady Miners 15-10 win at Missouri Southern in the season opener allowing two runs in three innings of work...picked up her first career win the following day in S&T's 8-3 win vs. Fort Hays State...she pitched a complete game allowing five hits, three runs, two earned...she struck out a season-high 11 hitters in a 3-2 loss against Northern Kentucky on March 14...opponents hit .227 against her with runners on base as opposed to .244 with no one on...had a strikeout/walk raito of 1.4 and averaged 4.2 K/7 IP...earned third team All-GLVC honors.

High School: Played for Victoria Brummel at Blue Springs South High School where Keal earned first-team all-district honors following the 2008 season, as well as second-team all-region and all-conference laurels. She was also a first-team all-league selection after her junior year. Keal also played for the Kansas City Freeze club team and currently plays with the Kansas City Originals.

Personal: Daughter of Jeff and Laura Keal...majoring in Business.
