Biography

2007-08: Named to the Daktronics All-Region 2nd team...named to the All-GLVC fi rst team…was the Lady Miners’ leading scorer on the season with an average of 15 points per game…finished seventh in the GLVC in scoring and ranked among the league leaders in field goal percentage (49.7 percent) and blocked shots (31)…earned GLVC “Player of the Week” twice on Jan. 21 and Feb. 16…has scored in double figures in 27 of 31 games with a career-high of 26 points at Lewis…has scored 20 or more points five times…hit a game-winning basket with 2.9 seconds to go in a win at Missouri-St. Louis…ranks fifth in S&T history with her 63 blocked shots…was named to the all-tournament team at Colorado Christian.

2006-07: Named to the All-GLVC team as an honorable mention choice…led the Lady Miners in scoring with an average of 13.4 points per game, good for 11th in the conference...scored in double figures on 22 occasions, with a high of 23 against Lynn on the day after Thanksgiving...also scored 21 in a win over Oakland City and 20 in the overtime loss at Drury...has two double-doubles on the season, posting a career-high with 11 rebounds in each of those games...led the team in scoring 13 times...scored at least eight points in every game but one...led the team with 26 blocked shots which ranked seventh in the GLVC...shot 47.7 percent from the field which also ranked her among the conference leaders...had 44 assists and 34 steals.

2005-06: Finished as UMR’s fifth-leading scorer with an average of seven points and 3.8 rebounds per game while shooting 43.6 percent from the field and 68.4 percent at the free throw line...also has 18 assists, 12 steals and six blocks...had a double-double in her second collegiate game with 14 points and 10 rebounds against Harris-Stowe...reached double figures on seven occasions, with a high point game of 17 against Southern Indiana in UMR’s inaugural GLVC contest...scored the basket that put UMR ahead for good in the overtime win at Indianapolis...started six games during the middle of the GLVC season and scored in double figures in three of those contests. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Named honorable mention all-metro St. Louis following her senior year, when she averaged 14.8 points and 5.9 rebounds per game...shot 53.8 percent from the field and 67 percent at the free throw line to help earn all-conference laurels...team was ranked second in the final regular season poll for large schools conducted by the Post-Dispatch and reached the Illinois Class AA quarterfinals...averaged better than 10 points a game in her junior year and shot 57 percent from the field.

PERSONAL: Born August 3, 1987 in Granite City, Ill....daughter of Wilson and Veronica McCaskill...majoring in chemical engineering...finished second at the GLVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the high jump in 2007 with a clearance of 5-5 1/4…was one of the top high jumpers in the state track meet in Illinois as a junior and senior, finishing fifth in 2005 and 11th in 2004...chose MST because of the academics and sports at the university.
