2015: Recorded a 4-1 record and 7.39 earned run average in 13 appearances, including seven starts...picked up wins against Wisconsin-Parkside, Missouri-St. Louis, Maryville and College of the Ozarks...threw 35 1/3 innings with 21 strikeouts; had a season-high six against Indianapolis...threw one complete game during the season.

2014: Pitched in 11 games and got a win in his only decision of the year in the Miners' series finale at Quincy...finished witih a 7.20 earned run average...threw 15 innings on the year and struck out eight...had two strikeouts in separate outings against Drury.

2013: Finished his freshman season with a 1-3 record and 6.48 earned run average in 10 outings…made two starts during the year and threw a season-high 4 1/3 innings against Southwest Baptist…earned his win in relief in the final game of the Miners’ four-game sweep at Southern Indiana…fanned 15 hitters in 16 2/3 innings, with a season-high of six in a three-inning stint at Rockhurst.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned second-team all-state honors as a first baseman following the 2012 season, when he batted .364 with a home run and 25 runs batted in…also pitched 14 innings and posted a 2.00 earned run average…was a two-time all-Sunflower League selection, as he also hit .357 with a home run and 11 runs batted in.

PERSONAL: Son of Ray and Janet Preston…majoring in engineering management.
