Biography

2011: Briggs played in 39 games with 28 last starts as a junior...she hit .272 and had an on-base percentage of .284 and a slugging percentage of .391...she finished the season with two home runs, five doubles and 14 RBIs...she drove in a career-high four runs with one swing of the bat hitting a grand slam in the 12-2 win over Lindenwood on March 31 in the second game of a doubleheader...she also homered against Southern Indiana...she drove in half of her RBIs with two outs...Briggs hit .276 with runners in scoring position...she also appeared in six contests in the circle going 0-2 while striking out three and walking seven in 13 innings of work.

2010: Briggs appeared in 46 games with 43 starts...was the team's lead-off hitter for a majority of the season...she hit .291 with nine doubles, two home runs, a triple and three runs batted in...she scored 26 runs and was 3-for-4 in stolen bases...had a slugging percentage of .411 and an on-base percentage of .329... had a career-high four hits including her first home run against Fort Hays State on February 27 at the Missouri Southern Tournament...she was a triple short of the cycle in that game as well...had 11 multi-hit games.

2009: Briggs appeared in 32 games with 12 starts hitting .222 with five runs scored a pair of RBIs. She had a multi-hit game against Truman State on Feb. 21 at the Alabama-Huntsville Tournament. In that game she also had a double, a RBI and a run scored. She swiped two bases on the year and dropped down a pair of sacrifice bunts. She hit .300 with runners on base and was even better with runners in scoring position hitting .400. Briggs had one two-out RBI and did a good job of advancing runners hitting .412 in those situations.  She saw limited action in the circle appearing in two games, with a start at Saint Joseph's on March 14.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned second-team all-conference honors after the past season despite playing with a wrist injury throughout the year…was a pitcher and shortstop at the high school level…hit .314 as a senior with 27 stolen bases and 22 walks…also led the team in sacrifice bunts…posted a .406 on-base percentage...played with summer league teams in Sedalia (Havoc) and Columbia (Rattlers).
 
PERSONAL: Daughter of Kelly and Jana Morrow...majoring in architectural and civil engineering.
