Biography
2016: Heckemeyer appeared in 40 games with 33 starts as a junior hitting .250 with four doubles, two home runs and 15 runs batted in...was tied for the the team lead in home runs...hit her first collegiate home run in the 3-1 win over Wayne State on Feb. 26, a two-run shot to left center field...also hit a two-run homer to straight away center field at Southern Indiana on March 12...she hit .269 with runners on base and .300 with runners in scoring position...she drove in a career-high four runs against Northwest Missouri State on Feb. 13 and had a career-high three hits against Northeastern State on Feb. 19...finished the season with an OPS of .699.
2015: Heckemeyer appeared in 24 games with 11 starts as a sophomore registering 10 hits in 40 at-bats with four RBIs...drove in a pair of runs as a pinch hitter with singles against Quincy and Maryville and had a two-run single in a win over McKendree...had a two-hit game at Lewis on April 26...she was 4-for-7 as a pinch hitter and hit almost .300 with runners on base.
2014: Heckemeyer appeared in five games with one start last season and had six at-bats. She made her first collegiate start as the designated player against Wisconsin-Parkside on April 19.
High School: Heckemeyer was a four time all-conference and all-district catcher, a three-time all-region, a first team all-state selection and a two-time academic all-state selection. She's from the same high school as former Lady Miner All-American and GLVC Hall of Famer Kandi Wieberg and played for Peggy Wieberg at St. Elizabeth. Heckemeyer helped guided her team to the 2011 Missouri Class 1 state championship.
Personal: Daughter of Roger and Diane Heckemeyer...majoring in civil engineering.
