Chad Schatz begins his sixth season as an assistant coach at Missouri S&T. His primary duties include working with pitchers, catchers, hitters and coaching first base.
Prior to coming to Missouri S&T, he served as an assistant coach for five years at Columbia College and ten years at the University of Missouri, that included a Big 12 Championship and an appearance in the College World Series. Along the way, he has coached numerous All-Americans and has coached four conference championship teams.
In the off-season, Coach Schatz serves as head coach for the Bulgarian National and Junior National teams. He maintains an active schedule as a clinician in the midwest and south and remains active in mens fast-pitch as a player and coach.
