Biography

2009: Appeared in 22 games, 17 starts on the offensive side and was second on the team in hitting with a .365 average and home runs with four...she had five mulit-hit and two multi-RBI games including a season-high four RBIs against Missouri Southern on April 7...She was also one of the team's top pitchers going 9-10 with a 3.14 ERA in 21 starts while tossing 14 complete games...she tossed 129.1 innings and struck out 109 batters while yielding just 26 walks...Wallingford had a strikeout per seven inning ratio of 5.9 and walk per seven inning ratio of 1.40... her strikeout-to-walk ratio was 4.2-to-1...opponents hit .294 off of her last year...she missed the final four games of the year with a season-ending injury. Her 32 career wins rank her 8th in school history.

2008:
Established herself as one of the top pitchers on the Lady Miner staff during her sophomore year…led the staff with 13 wins and 97 strikeouts in 145 innings of work…also recorded three shutouts which came against Lincoln Memorial, Bellarmine and Missouri-St. Louis….threw a five-inning no-hitter against Bellarmine, facing just one batter over the minimum…fanned a season-high nine batters on two occasions, doing so against defending national champion SIU Edwardsville and in a win over Northern Kentucky…finished the season with a 3.04 earned run average.

2007: Posted a record of 10-7 with a 4.10 earned run average in her first season as a Lady Miner…had wins over No. 7 Lewis and No. 10 SIU Edwardsville, the latter a four-hit shutout...fanned 104 hitters in 121 1/3 innings of work for an average of six strikeouts per seven innings...struck out 11 in wins over Northwestern (Iowa) and Lewis...posted her one shutout of the season against eventual national champion SIUE, which turned out to be the Cougars’ last loss of the season...shut out Grand Valley State for 8 1/3 innings in relief during the NCAA regional game that went 13 innings…hit .208 with a home run and three runs batted in...homered against Wisconsin-Parkside in a game in which she was also the winning pitcher…named to the NFCA All-America scholar-athlete team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a three-time all-state selection at Clark County High School...posted a 17-6 record with a 1.07 earned run average and 208 strikeouts last season at the high school level...was named as her team's and conference's most valuable player...played on two state championship teams in summer ball.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Richard and Anna Wallingford...was the valedictorian of her senior class...majoring in engineering management.
