Biography
2014-15: Won both multi-event titles in the GLVC during the year, capturing the decathlon with a total of 6,257 points and the indoor heptathlon with 4,807; both marks surpassed the NCAA Division II provisional standard…also finished fifth in the pole vault at 14-10¼ and seventh in the 100-meter hurdles, where he had a seasonal-best time of 15.12 seconds…placed sixth in the indoor pole vault, where he had a top effort of 14-9 on the season.
2013-14: Captured the GLVC championship in the decathlon at the league’s outdoor meet…recorded a total of 6,359 points to win by 43 points; score also made an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark…posted a seventh place finish in the javelin at the GLVC’s outdoor meet with a mark of 151 feet, three feet off his best mark of the season in the event…took third in the heptathlon at the GLVC’s indoor meet with a season-best mark of 4,643 points.
2012-13: Finished sixth in the decathlon at the GLVC Outdoor Championships, where he recorded a total of 5,416 points…also reached the finals of the 110-meter hurdles at the GLVC Outdoor Championships…had his best time in the event of 15.78 seconds at North Florida and had a top clearance of 6-0¾ in the high jump…also placed sixth in the heptathlon at the GLVC Indoor Championships with 4,215 points.
PERSONAL: Son of Dennis and Lisa King…attended Union High School….majoring in civil engineering at Missouri S&T.
