Biography
2011: Finished in a tie for fifth in the pole vault at the GLVC Indoor Championships, where he cleared 14-1 3/4...competed in the pole vault and had the Miners’ best mark during the indoor portion of the season of 15-2 ¼ at Southern Illinois.
2010: Finished fourth in the pole vault at the GLVC Outdoor Championships held at S&T...had a top clearance of 14-11 1/2 at that meet...best mark of the outdoor season came at LSU of 15-1 3/4...best indoor performance was 15-1 at Southern Illinois.
2009: Had a solid freshman season as a pole vaulter for the Miners...made his top clearance of the year during the outdoor season when he made 15-7 at Emporia State...also had a clearnace of 15-0 1/4 indoors at the GLVC Championships to earn a fifth place finish.
HIGH SCHOOL: Finished the 2008 season as the Missouri Class 4 runner-up in the pole vault…had a seasonal-best mark of 15-feet that he cleared at the state meet…holder of the school record in the event…also earned berths to the state meet as a junior when he finished 10th and as a sophomore.
PERSONAL: Son of Alex and Pam Rethy…attended DeSmet Jesuit High School…attended mechanical engineering.
