CAREER BESTS & RESULTS
2022: Competed in the sprints during the outdoor season, recording seasonal bests of 12.49 seconds in the 100-meters and 25.87 in the 200-meters.
HIGH SCHOOL: Finished fifth at the district championships in the 110- and 300-meter hurdles during the 2021 season...had top times of 16.96 in the 110-hurdles and 44.37 in the 400-hurdles...also had a time of 26.39 in the 200-meter dash.
PERSONAL: Son of John and Courtney Mertens...attended Warrenton High School...majoring in nuclear engineering at Missouri S&T.
