Biography
2010: Finished fifth at the GLVC Indoor Championships in the shot put with a mark of 48-0 1/2...best mark of the season was 49-3 at Iowa State...had a sixth place finish at the league's outdoor meet in the shot...top mark of the year was 46-5 at the Dewey Allgood Invitational...also had the team's top mark in the discus of 133-5 in the meet held at Harding.
2009: Competed in the throws for the Miners during the season...placed fifth in the indoor shot put at the GLVC Championships with a mark of 48-7 1/4, then took sixth outdoors with a top throw of 47-3...had the Miners' best mark of the year in the indoor shot...best performance in the discus throw was 130-4 at the conference meet.
2008: Had a ninth place finish at the GLVC Indoor Championships in the shot put with a mark of 43-4 1/2…had a seasonal-best showing of 44-7 1/2 in the event…also finished ninth in the outdoor shot with a throw of 45-7, just off his mark of 45-9 3/4 at Alabama…posted a 135-10 in the discus at the conference meet.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned a berth to the Missouri Class 3 state meet in his senior year in the shot put…had a personal best throw of 55 feet in that event and 151 feet in the discus.
PERSONAL: Born Sept. 23, 1988 in Kansas City, Mo....son of Darrell and Diane Johnson...attended Warrensburg High School...majoring in engineering.
