Biography

2008: Placed seventh in the 400-meters at the GLVC Outdoor Championships…had a top seasonal time of 48.56 in the event which he posted at Alabama…also ran a 21.97 at Alabama in the 200-meters…finished eighth at the GLVC Indoor Championships in the 200-meters with a time of 22.67, just off his seasonal-best of 22.62 at Indiana…ran a 50.61 in the 400-meters in the same meet…led off the Miners’ 4x400-meter relay team that placed fourth.

2007: Established the school record in the indoor 400-meters with a time of 49.84 at Central Missouri…finished fourth in the outdoor 400-meters at the GLVC Championships with a seasonal-best time of 48.43 seconds…also ran a 22.38 in the 200-meters outdoor and 22.37 in the event indoors at Arkansas.

2006: Tied the Miners’ school record with a time of 49.84 in the indoor 400-meters, which matched the mark set by Rick Lux in 1981...finished second in the 400-meters at both of the GLVC championship meets...tied the school record during the finals of that event...also recorded a time of 48.69 during the outdoor season in the 400 and had a 22.17 in the 200-meters...was part of the 4x200-meter relay team that placed second in the Drake Relays with a school record performance.

HIGH SCHOOL: Qualified for the Missouri Class 4 sectionals in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.55 seconds...posted a time of 51.22 to finish second in the Ozark Conference Championships...was the valedictorian of his senior class. 

PERSONAL: Born August 11, 1986 in Fort Scott, Kan....son of Jim and Sheila Packard...majoring in mechanical engineering.
