2011: Finished third at the GLVC Outdoor Championships with a clearance of 15-5 ¾ in the pole vault…best mark of the season was 16-0 ¾ at Kansas, which was good for an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark.

2010: Captured the GLVC championship in the outdoor pole vault with a clearance of 16-7 1/4...landed a spot at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships with that performance and finished third with a clearance of 16-4 at the meet in Charlotte, N.C. ...was third in the indoor pole vault with a mark of 15-9 1/4...had a top mark of 16-7 1/2 during the indoor season to earn a berth to the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships.

2009: Earned All-America honors during the indoor season in the pole vault...placed in a tie for eighth place with a clearance of 16-6 3/4 at the NCAA Division II Championships in Houston...won the GLVC indoor title in the event with a school record mark of 17-0, landing first-team All-GLVC honors in the process...reached the provisional qualifiying mark in the outdoor campaign with a top mark of 16-2 3/4 at the Dewey Allgood Invitational...took third in the event at the GLVC Outdoor Championships to earn second-team all-league honors.

2008: Competed during the indoor season during his first season at Missouri S&T…posted a top mark of 14-10 1/4 at Missouri Southern.

HIGH SCHOOL: Posted the second-best mark this season in the St. Louis area of 15 feet during his senior year, which he cleared in his winning performances in the Missouri Class 4 District 2 championships…also won the conference title in the event…had a clearance of 13-8 in the pole vault which also ranked among the top ten marks in the St. Louis area as a junior.

PERSONAL: Son of Thomas and Patricia Hellwig...attended Rockwood Summit High School...majoring in computer engineering.
