2010: Made the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time in the steeplechase, posting a time of 9:17.16 in winning the event at Arkansas...had a top time of 9:16.35 at North Central at the end of the season...placed third in the event at the GLVC Outdoor Championships with a mark of 9:30.07...posted S&T's top time in the 3,000-meters during the indoor season of 8:50.13 and finished sixth at the GLVC's meet in the event...also had times of 4:24.72 in the indoor mile and 4:02.51 in the outdoor 1,500-meters.

2009: Ran in the steeplechase and distance events for the Miners during the year...finished fourth in the steeplechase at the GLVC Outdoor Championships with a time of 9:37.40 that was his best of the season...posted S&T's top time during the indoor season in the 3,000-meters of 8:46.06 at Iowa State...also had marks of 15:35.81 in the outdoor 5,000, 4:07.02 in the outdoor 1,500-meters and 4:25.94 in the indoor mile.

2008: Competed in the distance events as a freshman…posted times of 4:27.15 in the indoor mile and 8:51.77 in the 3,000-meters which ranked among the team’s best times during the indoor season…had a mark of 4:14.21 in the outdoor 1,500-meters and 10:02.82 in the steeplechase, which was the best time by a Miner on the season.

PERSONAL: Son of Ron and Phyllis Ernst...attended Belleville West High School...majoring in mechanical engineering.
