Biography
2012: Recorded his best times of 16:03.83 in the 5,000-meters and 33:29.08 in the 10,000-meters during the 2012 outdoor season…finished with a best mark of 9:39.57 in the 3,000-meters during the indoor campaign.
2011: Had his best indoor mark in the 3,000-meters at Central Missouri with a time of 9:22.58…best time in the 5,000 was 16:16.50 during the indoor season and 16:17.86 outdoors at Central Methodist…ran a time of 33:23.49 in the 10,000-meters at Central Arkansas.
2009: Competed during the indoor season in the distance events, posting a top time of 9:35.55 in the 3,000-meters.
HIGH SCHOOL: Competed in both cross country and track at the high school level...was named as his team's most valuable player in cross country in the 2007 season and in track in 2008...was part of a fourth place team in the 4x800-meter relay in 2006 at the Missouri state meet...had top times of 4:43 in the 1,600-meters, 10:12 in the 3,200 and 17:36 in the 5,000 in high school.
PERSONAL: Son of Alan and Amy Viets...attended Lutheran High School...majoring in physics.
