Biography
2022-23: Earned All-America status as part of S&T's medley relay teams that scored at the NCAA Division II Championships...recorded a fifth place finish in the 200-yard individual medley at the GLVC Championships with a time of 1:49.39, the second-fastest posted by a Miner during the season...finished seventh in the 200-yard butterfly in 1:49.16...won the consolation final in the 100-yard butterfly in 47.91 seconds and scored in the 200-breaststroke, where his top time was 2:02.58...was part of S&T's 400-yard medley relay team that finished third and 200-yard medley relay team that placed fifth.
2021-22: Had top times in five different races, 100-yard breaststroke (57.56), 200-yard breaststroke (2:01.24), 200-yard butterfly (1:48.51), 200-yard individual medley (1:49.31) and a top time of 48.56 in the 100-yard butterfly… Was a part of the 200-yard medley relay which placed seventh at NCAA-2 championships as well as breaking the school record…Also a part of 400-yard medley relay that placed 14th in the NCAA Division II Championships.
2020-21: Scored in three events at the GLVC Championships...finished 11th in the 200-yard butterfly with a season-best time of 1:49.69 seconds, while taking 13th in the 200-breaststroke in 2:03.92 and 16th in the 100-yard butterfly in 49.15 seconds...made an NCAA Division II B-cut in the 200-fly...also posted a time of 1:51.30 in the 200-yard individual medley...member of GLVC All-Academic team.
PERSONAL: Son of Robert and Lisa Baxter...competed at St. Charles North High School, where he was part of two state championship teams...finished sixth in the 100-yard breaststroke with a seasonal-best time of 57.07 seconds and was also part of the 200-yard medley relay team that placed fourth and 400-yard freestyle relay that took fifth....also finished ninth in the 100-yard butterfly during his senior year...finished third in the 100-yard butterfly – a race where he competed against former Miner Nolan Fergus -- and was part of the third place team in the 200-yard medley relay and 10th place quartet in the 200-freestyle relay during the 2017-18 season...majoring in mechanical engineering at Missouri S&T.
