Biography
2009-10: Recorded a seventh-place finish in the 1,000-freestyle at the NSISC Championships with his best mark of the season of 9:44.48...also placed 11th in the 500-freestyle in 4:41.27 and the 1,650-freestyle in 16:36.63.
2008-09: Anchored the Miners’ 800-yard freestyle relay team that finished seventh at the NCAA Division II Championships in a school record time of 6:42.12…competed in the 200-, 500- and 1,000-yard freestyle events at the NCAA meet …was the fifth-place finisher in the 1,000-freestyle during the NSISC meet and also placed sixth in the 500-free…had top times of 1:43.68 in the 200-freestyle, 4:36.49 in the 500-freestyle and 9:33.16 in the 1,000-free.
PERSONAL: Son of Jim and Crystal Larkins...earned honorable mention all-metro St. Louis status following his senior year when he swam on two freestyle relay teams that reached the consolation finals of the Missouri State Championships in 2007…competed in the 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard breaststroke…had top times of 1:03.65 in the 100-breaststroke, 58.00 in the 100-butterfly and 2:03.15 in the 200-IM, the seventh-best time in the St. Louis area last season…was part of two freestyle relay teams that made the state meet in his junior year…majoring in aerospace engineering.
