2007-08: Earned a berth to the NCAA Division II Championships in three events…competed in the 100-yard butterfly and 100- and 200-yard backstroke…posted his season-best time of 51.59 in the event…finished in fourth place in the 100-yard backstroke at the NSISC meet, where he had his best time of the season of 52.45 seconds…also finished seventh in the 200-butterfly at that meet.

2006-07: Scored high in four events to help the Miners win the NSISC meet in February…was a part of the winning teams in the 200-yard freestyle and 400-medley relays in the consolation round…also added a fifth in the 200-yard butterfly and seventh in the 100-yard backstroke…had the team’s second-best time in the 200-butterfly of 1:53.74…also had times of 52.59 in the 100-backstroke and 1:54.38 in the 200-back.

2005-06: Earned All-America honors as part of the 400-yard medley relay team...a berth to the NCAA Division II Championships, where he finished 19th in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:58.21...also competed at nationals in the 100- and 200-yard butterfly and the 400-yard medley relay team that finished 11th...had a fourth-place in the 200-butterfly at the NSISC Championships.

PERSONAL: Born Nov. 21, 1986 in Oklahoma City, Okla....son of David Howell and Jana Wilkins...was named as the Oklahoma High School "Male Swimmer of the Year" for the 2004-05 season after winning the state title in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 53.25 seconds...also finished second in the 100-butterfly and was part of two all-state relay teams, including the third place entry in the 200-medley relay...attended Norman North High School...majoring in chemistry.
