Biography
2018-19: Finished fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke at the GLVC Championships...also recorded an 11th-place showing in the 100-breaststroke, where he had a top time of 55.99 seconds; top time in the 200-breaststroke was 2:01.46...also had times of 22.17 in the 50-yard freestyle, 1:55.49 in the 200-yard individual medley and 4:30.91 in the 400-IM.
2017-18: Scored for the Miners at the GLVCÂ Championships in both of the breaststroke races...had top times of 56.64 in the 100-yard breaststroke and 2:02.78 in the 200-breaststroke, as well as times of 1:55.34 in the the 200-individual medley and 4:13.69 in the 400-IM.
2016-17: Recorded top times of 59.39 in the 100-yard breaststroke, 2:11 in the 200-breaststroke and 1:58.11 in the 200-individual medley.
PERSONAL: Son of Miguel Chavez and Domitila Gonzalez…younger brother of former S&T All-America performer Miguel Chavez…majoring in civil engineering at Missouri S&T.
