Luke Kotcher in his first year as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. He has been in athletic communications for two years and has experience in Minor League Baseball, Division I, and Division III athletics.
Before joining the team at S&T, Kotcher worked for the Peoria Chiefs, a High-A, Minor League Baseball affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. In his role as Broadcast/Media Relations intern he provided play-by-play commentary for home games on MiLB.tv, wrote post-game recaps, as well as assisted media and gameday staff.
Prior to Peoria, Kotcher served as the play-by-play announcer in several sports for Illinois Wesleyan University, working directly with the athletic communications office on campus. He also was serving as the communications intern for Bradley University, an NCAA Division I program in the Missouri Valley Conference, during his time with Illinois Wesleyan. Kotcher served in numerous roles in his time with the Braves, writing articles, managing the website, tracking statistics, overseeing social media, and much more.
Kotcher is originally from St. Louis and graduated from Bradley University in May 2024 with his Bachelor's in Sports Communication.
