Missouri S&T Athletics

2015-16: Appeared in all 27 games for S&T in his freshman season, averaging 6.1 points and two rebounds per contest...scored in double figures five times, led by a 21-point effort against Blackburn...shot 47.7 percent from the field, 83.3 percent at the line and connected on 48.3 percent of his three-point attempts (29-of-60), the second-best mark in the GLVC...had 10 assists and 11 steals...made two starts during the year.

HIGH SCHOOL: Helped lead Notre Dame to a third place finish in the Missouri Class 4 state tournament during the 2014-15 season, as he averaged 20.5 points and seven rebounds per game for the 27-5 Bulldogs…earned all-state honors in Missouri Class 4 and also earned the most valuable award for Classes 3-5 at the BA Sports Extravaganza following the season as well as winning the slam dunk contest at the event…also played for the St. Louis Eagles AAU team, where he averaged a little over four points a game during the 2014 summer season on a team that included some the nation's top recruits in the high school classes of 2015 and 2016.

PERSONAL: Son of Roger and Bonnie Poythress…attended Notre Dame Regional High School, where his coach was Paul Unterreiner...majoring in computer engineering at Missouri S&T.
