Three-year letterwinner at defender…appeared in 16 games and assisted on a goal in a victory over Indianapolis…started in all 16 games he appeared in during the 2006 campaign…did not score during the season…played in 14 games and made five starts during his freshman year...had one assist on the year, which came in his first start against Missouri Southern in which UMR recorded a 3-0 victory...served as a team captain and earned honorable mention all-conference honors for a team that won the 2004 state title in Connecticut...team was ranked No. 12 in the final NSCAA high school rankings for the 2004 season...was also part of three straight conference championship teams.
PERSONAL: Born Feb. 15, 1987 in Kansas City, Mo....son of Salvatore and Debra Mentesana...attended Newtown High School...majoring in electrical engineering.
