Biography

2024-25: Started in 25 of the 29 games he played in, including 16 of S&T’s 20 GLVC contests…averaged 10.7 points and four rebounds per game, while adding 27 assists, 32 steals and five blocks...reached double figures in 16 games, including a run of 10 straight contests from Jan. 11-Feb. 8…averaged 12.3 points per game during that 10-game scoring run…scored a career-high 30 points in S&T’s NCAA Tournament victory over Malone, including seven of the Miners’ first eight points in the overtime period…scored 26 points in the Miners’ win at Rockhurst, capped by a tip-in at the buzzer that gave S&T the 78-77 win that clinched the outright GLVC regular season championship…ranked third on the team in field goal percentage at 52.1 percent…made at least 50 percent of his field goal attempts in 16 of his 29 appearances…shot 54.4 percent from the field (49-90) over the course of his 10-game run in double figures.

2023-24: Appeared in all 27 games in his freshman season and made two starts along the way...averaged 7.1 points and 3.1 rebounds per contest, while dishing out 14 assists, blocking 14 shots and making 10 steals...scored a career-high 20 points against William Jewell among his eight games in double figures during the season...also had 15 points in both games against Maryville and against Upper Iowa...recorded his first career double-double in the Upper Iowa contest as he had 11 rebounds in that game...shot 47.9 percent from the field, 42.3 percent from three-point range and 66.7 percent at the free throw line...had four blocked shots at Missouri-St. Louis.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Missouri powerhouse Vashon High School, which won state championships during every season of his prep career...played in the state title contests in 2022 and 2023, scoring 16 points in the 2022 win over Father Tolton and reaching double figures again with 10 in the Wolverines' win over Park Hills Central to win the second championship...scored in double figures in all four of the Final Four games that the Wolverines played in during his last two seasons and also had 22 points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots in the 2022 district championship victory over Soldan...averaged 7.6 points per game as a senior – on a team that had just one double figure scorer on average in a balanced scoring attack – while shooting 57 percent from the field and 70 percent at the free throw line...as a junior, averaged 6.7 points while shooting just better than 50 percent from the floor, while pulling down 3.3 rebounds and recording 12 steals and 10 blocked shots...also played for Bradley Beal Elite in the EYBL league, one of the top summer league teams in the state of Missouri.

PERSONAL: Son of Gwen Ellis...attended Vashon High School, where his coach was Tony Irons...majoring in technical communications at Missouri S&T.
