Biography
2010-11: Finished his first year with the Miners as the team’s second-leading scorer and among the top shooters from long range…scored 11.6 points per game and added 4.4 rebounds a contest...added 36 assists, 24 steals and eight blocked shots…finished second on the team with 37 three-point baskets as he shot 40.2 percent from beyond the arc…connected on 44.9 percent of his shots from the floor and 85 percent at the free throw line…scored in double figures in 18 of 25 games with a season-high of 20 points against eventual NCAA Division II champion Bellarmine…also had 18 in games against Missouri-St. Louis and Maryville…made 13-of-23 from three-point range in the Miners’ final five games of the season…had a season-high five assists against Illinois-Springfield and Rockhurst…ranked fifth in the GLVC as he averaged 32.7 minutes per game.
AT SOUTHWESTERN ILLINOIS: Averaged 8.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and an assist per game during the 2009-10 season…added 16 assists, four blocked shots and 19 steals for a team that went 18-13…shot 85 percent at the free throw line…had a season-high of 21 points against Three Rivers…averaged 11.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 51 percent from the floor and 46 percent from three-point range…had a 20-point performance against Kaskaskia.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned first-team all-state honors along with first-team all-region and all-league laurels at Nashville High School…was named as his team’s most valuable player after averaging 23.4 points, five rebounds and four assists as a senior…team reached the Illinois state quarterfinals.
PERSONAL: Son of John and Lisa Pelcyznski...majoring in mathematics education.
