Redshirted for the 2016 season…earned first-team all-district honors in each of his final three seasons at the high school level and was named as the most valuable player on offense in his district following his ophomore season...recorded 162 tackles (48 solo stops), 42 pass breakups, four interceptions and two sacks during his high school career...on offense, he threw for 1,465 yards while completing better than 71 percent of his passes and ran for another 1,294, while averaging 24.1 yards per punt return and 26.5 per kickoff runback...also earned all-district honors in track & field in the 100-meter dash.

PERSONAL: Attended Katy High School, where his coach was William Herrmann...son of Brent Winters and Alexandria Schipansky...majoring in business at Missouri S&T.
