Anthony Garnett, a former collegiate quarterback at Cal Poly, joins the S&T coaching staff this year as the quarterbacks coach. Garnett played at Cal Poly during the 2004 and 2005 seasons -- years when Miner head coach David Brown was on the Mustangs’ coaching staff -- and completed 159-of-286 passes for 2,739 yards and 21 touchdowns. 
He earned first-team all-conference and national "Player of the Week" honors
during his career at Cal Poly, which he helped lead to back-to-back conference titles in the Great West Conference. He also played at Monterey Junior College for two seasons.

Prior to coming to Missouri S&T, Garnett coached quarterbacks at Seaside High School in California and American Heritage High School in Florida. Garnett is originally from Seaside, Calif.
