High School: Was named as the Oklahoma 5A-1 Safety of the Year at Newcastle High School…finished his senior year with 106 tackles, including a game with 22 tackles against MacArthur…also recorded five tackles for a loss, three pass breakups and returned a fumble for a touchdown…had one interception as a junior…was his school’s valedictorian.
Personal: Attended Newcastle High School…son of Brad and Stephanie Burchett…majoring in mechanical engineering at Missouri S&T.
