Biography

Played at quarterback in a reserve role during eight games of the 2014 campaign...completed his only pass of the season for a touchdown in the season finale against Lincoln...started in seven of the nine games he appeared in during the 2013 season; missed two games due to an injury…completed 133 of 232 passes (57.3 percent) for 1,327 yards and four touchdowns…threw for 365 yards in the season opener against Chadron State, the third-most yards ever for an S&T quarterback in the first game of a season…accumulated 414 yards of total offense in that game, the most ever in an opener for a Miner signalcaller…also threw for 280 yards in a win at Kentucky Wesleyan and completed a season-high 31 passes at Lindenwood.…appeared in nine games in a reserve role as a redshirt freshman, completing 30-of-56 passes for 346 yards and six touchdowns…was 11-of-21 for 128 yards and three scores in the season finale at South Dakota School of Mines…went eight-of-nine through the air for 90 yards and a touchdown against Oklahoma Panhandle State…threw touchdown passes in four of the nine games he appeared in...redshirted for the 2011 season...was a two-time all-conference and all-state selection at the high school level, where he was a finalist for the State Farm "Player of the Year" award in Arkansas…was runner-up for the VYPE top player honor…threw for 3,120 yards and 22 touchdowns as a senior after completing 61 percent of his passes for 2,900 yards and 34 touchdowns against just eight interceptions in his junior season...over the last three years of his high school career, he threw for over 8,500 yards and 77 touchdowns...was a four-year letterman in baseball at S&T in the spring, earning All-GLVC honors at third base in each of his final two seasons in a Miner uniform...finished his career with a .306 batting average and ranked high on several career lists, including hits with 187, runs batted in with 88 and saves with 12.

Personal: Attended Heritage High School, where he was coached by Perry Escalante…son of Dale and Freesa Brown…majoring in civil engineering at Missouri S&T.
