Biography
2018: First-team All-GLVC selection who finished the campaign with 45 tackles from his safety position...had 32 solo stops during the year, including a season-high nine against Quincy...returned an interception 36 yards for a touchdown in that contest, one of two interceptions he recorded in that win to help him land GLVC Player of the Week honors...also had eight tackles in the win over Truman State...finished the season with four pass breakups as well as one quarterback sack, which he recorded against Southwest Baptist.
2017: Finished the campaign with 38 tackles, including 25 solo stops…also recorded an interception and 13 pass breakups…had a season-high eight tackles against West Florida and had his interception in the win at Truman State.
2016: Finished the 2016 season with 31 tackles and an interception…had 22 solo stops and also recorded three tackles for a loss…added three pass breakups, a forced fumble and a blocked kick…picked up his interception in the victory over Lincoln.
2015: Redshirted for the 2015 season.
High School: Earned first-team all-district honors as both a safety and wide receiver and was also named to the academic all-state team…finished with 60 tackles on defense as well as five interceptions and five blocked kicks, while scoring 12 touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball in the 2014 season.
Personal: Attended Silsbee High School, where his coach was Bobby McGallion…son of John and Monica Kirkendall…majoring in mechanical engineering at Missouri S&T.
