Returning letterman who will seek to earn a spot in the lineup in the secondary…had six tackles during the 2009 campaign split between the secondary and special teams…was redshirted in 2007...was a second-team all-metro and all-conference player at the high school level, where he served as a team captain…was also an academic all-conference selection…good athlete who was a state qualifier in track and field and played varsity basketball.

Attended Jefferson High School, where his coach was Jim Womochil…son of Gary and Cynthia Shubatt…majoring in petroleum engineering.
