Played at defensive end at the high school level, where he recorded 94 tackles in the 2009 season…had 57 solo stops, seven tackles for a loss and five sacks as a senior to earn second-team all-conference honors…team reached the Missouri Class 6 semifinals…made 84 tackles in his junior season with 49 initial stops.

Attended Oakville High School, where he was coached by Arlee Conners...son of ron and Sue Schneider...majoring in mechanical engineering.
