Biography

Returning starter at defensive end…recorded 17 tackles during the 2008 season, including three sacks and 6.5 tackles for a loss...had a season-high five tackles at South Dakota, including two for a loss and a sack...finished the 2007 season with 25 tackles, including nine solo stops…also forced a fumble and had a pass breakup…was in on two quarterback sacks at Butler…broke into the starting lineup during his first season on the field in 2006…finished with 28 tackles, which included two sacks and 6.5 tackles for a loss…had a season-high 10 tackles at Wayne State (Neb.)…made 17 initial stops on the year…was redshirted in 2005…was a three-year starter at the high school level...earned all-state honors in 2004 and participated in the Illinois Shrine Game in July...also earned all-conference status during his senior year...served as a team captain and was a member of the National Honor Society at his school. 
Personal: Attended Macomb High School, where his coach was Kelly Sears...son of Randall and Karen Severs...majoring in biology.
