High School: Earned second-team all-area, all-district and all-conference honors as a three-year letterman in the Joplin program...played on a defensive unit that held its opponents to just over 15 points per game and only four per game in the second halves of games...had 59 tackles and an interception in his junior season, then posted 70 tackles and three pass breakups as a senior.
Personal: Attended Joplin High School, where his coach was Curtis Jasper...son of Scott and Brandee Read...majoring in aerospace engineering at Missouri S&T.
