Was named honorable mention All-America by Beyond Sports Network following the 2012 season…also named to the All-GLVC first team on the defensive line…was ranked 10^th in NCAA Division II with 13 quarterback sacks as the Miners set a team record with 45…had 44 tackles overall with 26 solo stops…also had a forced fumble and a pass breakup…finished with six tackles against Arkansas Tech, Kentucky Wesleyan and Central State; the sixth tackle against CSU was a sack on the final play of the game to preserve S&T’s six-point win…had three sacks in that game and against KWC....had 14 tackles in his first year at S&T in 2011…had two quarterback sacks among his three tackles for a loss and also intercepted a pass…made five tackles against South Dakota School of Mines...transferred from New Mexico Military Institute...recorded 22 tackles, including four for lost yardage, during the 2010 season...also had a forced fumble and a fumble recovery during his sophomore season...was an all-district performer and earned the opportunity to play in an all-star game following his senior year at Canutillo High School in Texas.   

Personal: Attended Canutillo High School, where his coach was Scott Brooks...son of Eduardo and Arcelia Rascon...majoring in psychology and marketing at Missouri S&T.
