Pat Lang, a standout lineman for Missouri S&T over the last two seasons, is in his first year as a member of the Miner coaching staff. Lang, a center for the Miners, will coach the team’s offensive tackles and tight ends.
Lang was a first-team all-conference selection in each of his two seasons in a Miner uniform, earning first-team honors and the “Offensive Lineman of the Year” award from the Great Lakes Football Conference after the 2011 campaign. In the first season of play in the Great Lakes Valley Conference in 2012, Lang was one of four Miner offensive linemen to earn all-league honors after the team set a single-season record for points scored.
Missouri S&T scored 458 points last season and averaged 440.7 yards per game. The offensive line allowed the Miner running attack to average 175.1 yards per game and allowed only 13 quarterback sacks in 11 games as the Miners went 10-1.
Lang is from Pago Pago, American Samoa and spent two seasons playing at New Mexico Military Institute prior to joining the S&T program prior to the 2011 season.
