Owen Jordan enters his third season on the Missouri S&T coaching staff during the 2024 campaign, as he serves as the team's secondary coach.
The Miners have had all-conference performers in the secondary during both of his seasons on the staff, as defensive back Carson Prenger, who was a second-team All-GLVC selection in each of those years. Prenger was also a second-team selection as the defensive utility player in 2023.
Prior to joining the Miner staff, Jordan spent three seasons at Kansas State University coaching the quarterbacks – including 2022 NFL draft pick Skylar Thompson – and wide receivers. He got his start in coaching at the University of Minnesota as a quality control assistant during the 2015 season where he did the scouting on the opposing teams; Minnesota won the Quick Lane Bowl that season by defeating Central Michigan.
Jordan, a native of Columbus, Kan., played college football as a quarterback at Fort Scott Community College and then at Lincoln University, where he set single season records with 186 completions and 330 passing attempts as a senior. He threw for 3,925 career yards and 24 touchdowns for the Blue Tigers.
