Luke Rayfield

Luke Rayfield is in his first season on the Miner coaching staff after previously serving as a student assistant coach at Southeast Missouri State University.  He will coach the flex linebackers at S&T this fall.

Rayfield spent two years on the staff headed by Tony Samuel, including the 2010 season when the Redhawks won their first Ohio Valley Conference championship and played in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision playoffs.  Rayfield worked with Southeast’s special teams during that year and also spent both of his seasons working with the linebackers.

Rayfield, who is originally from Scott City, Mo., received a football scholarship to play at Central Methodist University before transferring to Southeast.  He earned his bachelor's degree in education from Southeast in 2012.
