Lorenzo Mitchell joined the Missouri S&T coaching staff in July 2023 and serves as the wide receivers coach for the Miners.
Mitchell has spent the last two seasons as a member of Fenwick’s staff at Southeastern Oklahoma State, serving as the team’s running backs coach. He began working with the Savage Storm as a volunteer assistant coach during the spring of 2019 and also worked skills camps before working in the education field and private sector before returning to the coaching ranks.
Mitchell, a native of Streamwood, Ill., began his collegiate playing career at North Dakota State College of Science before spending two seasons at Winona State as a tight end. He had 11 receptions for 118 yards and a touchdown during his two years at Winona before transferring to Tusculum University for his final year of play. During the 2016 season, Mitchell hauled in 11 passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns.
