Kevin Kim

    Assistant Coach - Linebackers/Video Coordinator
Kevin Kim is in his first season with Missouri S&T football. He is the assistant coach for linebackers as well as video coordinator for the team. He graduated from William Jewell College in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in psychological science with a minor in communication.

Prior to joining the Miners, Kim spent two seasons with the University of Central Missouri as the assistant coach for inside linebackers and defensive player personnel. He coached two all-MIAA players during those seasons with Travis Degrate earning third team honors in 2022 and Cale Miller making the second team in 2023. The team had a successful 2023 campaign, winning the MIAA and making it as far as the second round in the playoffs.

Kim had previous experience in the Great Lakes Valley Conference from 2017 to 2022 when he played and worked for William Jewell College. He began his time with the Cardinals as a defensive lineman, playing from 2017-2020 before medically retiring in 2020 to become a student assistant for the defensive line. He was promoted to assistant coach for linebackers/head equipment manager in 2021.

Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea to Hyungchan and Taehee Kim. He has two brothers, Andrew and Jason.
