Jake Jiannoni, a native of Palm Springs, Calif., just completed his second season on the Missouri S&T coaching staff and will coach the Miner inside linebackers. Jiannoni, who joined the staff on a full-time basis in 2022 after joining the staff as a volunteer assistant, also serves as the team's special teams coordinator.
During the 2022 season, Jiannoni had two members of the team at his position group earn All-GLVC recognition in linebackers Wulfe Retzlaff and Kyle Viverito; Retzlaff was named to the all-conference second team and Viverito was an honorable mention selection.
Jiannoni played college football at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, Calif., and earned all-conference honors as a linebacker. He transferred from there to Southeastern Louisiana University for his final two seasons, where he served as a team captain. He earned All-Southland Conference honors following the 2018 season under head coach Ron Roberts at the NCAA Division I FCS level.
Jiannoni earned his bachelor’s degree in General Studies from SLU and is currently in the process of finishing his master’s degree in Educational Administration. Jake began his coaching career at Missouri Valley College as the team's outside linebackers coach.
