  • Title
    Student Assistant Football Coach
Billy Foster is in his first season on the Missouri S&T coaching staff, as he will work with the defensive backs unit he was a part of for the last two seasons as a player.

Foster earned first-team all-conference honors in the Great Lakes Valley Conference in 2012 after recording 26 tackles, four pass breakups and three interceptions.  Two of Foster’s interceptions came in the Miners’ early-season win at Arkansas Tech.

The Miner defense was one of the best in the nation last fall, finishing as the national leader in turnover margin at the NCAA Division II level and finishing among the top 10 in four categories, which included total defense as it allowed just 293.1 yards per game.

During his first season at S&T, Foster finished with 24 tackles and an interception from his safety position to help lead the Miners to a 6-5 season.

Foster came to Missouri S&T after playing at Los Medanos College in California for two seasons.  He is originally from Antioch, Calif.
