2024: Named honorable mention All-GLVC following a season in which he finished second on the team with 59 tackles…had 34 solo stops, 12 tackles for a loss and two sacks…had a season-high 11 tackles in the win over Southwest Baptist and had eight at Indianapolis…had his lone interception of the season at William Jewell, which he returned 22 yards for a touchdown…recorded sacks in the William Jewell and Lincoln (Calif.) contests…member of the GLVC All-Academic team…member of College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.

2023: Was redshirted for the season...member of GLVC All-Academic team and Brother James Gaffney Distinguished Scholar honoree.

High School: Had 120 tackles, 20 tackles for a loss and four sacks, while also intercepting two passes and scoring a defensive touchdown during the 2022 season...played in three straight state championship games at Lamar, including a state title squad in 2020 as it won district championships in all four seasons of his prep career...was a first-team all-state selection at linebacker and a two-time all-conference and all-district honoree.

Personal: Attended Lamar High School, where his coach was Jared Beshore...son of Jeremy and Amanda Sturgell...majoring in mining and explosives engineering at Missouri S&T.
