Returning squadmember for the 2016 season...transferred to S&T from Quincy University, where he spent the 2014 season...finished with 44 tackles as a high school senior with 31 solo stops and one sack...had 50 tackles with four for a loss during the 2012 campaign...was a four-time all-conference selection in the Suburban North Conference and also qualified for the Missouri state championships in wrestling...was named as his school's scholar-athlete of the year for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch following the 2013-44 academic year.
Personal: Attended Hazelwood Central High School, where he was coached by Van Vanatta...son of Baron and Betsy McLaughlin...older brother, B.J., is a senior on the Miners this fall...majoring in environmental engineering at Missouri S&T.
