Biography
Missed the entire 2011 season due to an injury and is expected to compete for a starting spot on the offensive line this fall...started in the Miners’ first six games in 2010 before suffering a season-ending injury in the game at South Alabama...saw playing time at guard over each of the last three seasons after redshirting in 2007…earned honorable mention all-conference honors and was also a member of the league’s academic all-conference team…was selected as an Illinois State Scholar and won his team’s “Iron Man” award following the 2006 season.
Personal: Attended Jacksonville High School, where his coach was Mark Grounds…son of Stephen and Debra Slaid…majoring in chemical engineering.
