Returns as the Miner punter for the upcoming season…averaged 34.9 yards on 63 punts during the 2009 season, with a long punt of 56 yards and nine punts downed within the opponents’ 20-yard line…averaged 38 yards per kick in the 2008 campaign on 39 punts…had six punts of 50 yards or more with a best of 67 yards against Saint Joseph’s…averaged better than 43 yards on his four punts at Truman State…missed the 2007 season due to an injury…earned first-team All-GLFC honors at that position in 2006 after averaging 37.6 yards per kick…put 10 of his punts inside the opponents’ 20-yard line with no touchbacks…longest punt of the year was 65 yards vs. Austin Peay; had four punts of better than 50 yards on the season…was a three-year starter in high school at tight end and earned unanimous first-team all-conference honors in his senior year after catching 20 passes for 488 yards (over 24 yards per catch) and seven touchdowns...set new school records for receiving yards in a career with 1,048 and holds two other marks for touchdowns scored...also punted and averaged 35.6 yards per kick...is a versatile athlete who also competed in swimming and lacrosse in high school.
