2020: Completed 50-of-72 passes (69.4 percent) for 468 yards and three touchdowns during the spring season...went 23-of-33 for 225 yards and two scores against William Jewell, all season bests...finished second in the GLVC in completion percentage in the spring.

2019: Started all 11 games behind center for S&T...completed 204-of-336 passes for 2,721 yards and 21 touchdowns...also ran for 71 yards and scored seven times on the ground, directly accounting for 28 of S&T's 54 touchdowns during the season...earned GLVC Player of the Week honors after going 24-of-34 for 268 yards and four touchdowns -- and running for two more -- in the win over NCAA Division II playoff participant Miles...threw for a season-high 371 yards against Lindenwood...had 345 yards through the air on a season-best 30 completions against Quincy...threw at least one touchdown pass in all but one game; had at least three scoring passes on four occasions.

2018: Played in six games during the season, where he completed 16-of-25 passes for 105 yards...was six-of-seven for a season-high 47 yards against William Jewell...completed five-of-nine in appearances against Drake and Indianapolis...added 31 yards on the ground.

2017: Appeared in five games during the year, completing three-of-four passes for 16 yards…also had 13 yards rushing and a touchdown which he scored in the season finale against Quincy.

2016: Redshirted for the 2016 season.

High School: Was a scholar-athlete award recipient at Charlotte High School, where he earned honorable mention all-state and first-team all-area honors following the 2015 season....last fall, in being named as the Sun Herald's "Offensive Player of the Year," Simms set the regional record for passing yards as he threw for better than 5,600 in his career with 59 touchdown passes...threw 25 touchdown passes and just four interceptions in 2015 as he threw for 2,359 yards and completed 64 percent of his throws. 

Personal: Attended Charlotte High School, where his coach was Binky Waldrop...son of James and Cherlyn Simms...majoring in civil engineering at Missouri S&T.
