Biography
Handled the placekicking duties for the Miners until he suffered a season-ending injury in the fourth week of the year…had converted all 15 of his extra point attempts and five of his seven field goal tries to that point…kicked a season-long 43-yard field goal against Oklahoma Panhandle State...served as the Miners’ placekicker for the latter half of the 2011 season…was a perfect 23-of-23 on extra point attempts and made three of his six field goal attempts…kicked the Miners’ longest field goal of the year of 45 yards against Kentucky Wesleyan, the longest field goal by a Miner since 2000...appeared in four games in 2010 after redshirting in the 2009 season…was a first-team all-area and all-conference kicker as well as a first-team all-league punter after averaging 33.6 yards per punt in 2008…also finished the season with 36 extra points and five field goals as he earned a spot in the Eastern Illinois all-star game.
Personal: Attended Bloomington High School, where his coach was Rigo Schmelzer…son of Shelly Peden…majoring in mechanical engineering.
